We are all so proud of you! You are an amazing young woman and are going to do big things!! What a great weekend at home in Newton! Michael made the long trip with me for the first time and what can I say, he was sold on the greatness of Southern Illinois. Michael was quite the tropper this weekend. I met him in Waterloo around 4 after he got of work, we quickly went to his house, packed his things and were on the road again. He was on the road for almost 12 hours on Friday...Thank you for coming with me, you are great! We took the scenic route through north eastern Iowa and came across this semi and its cargo...we both were laughing so hard! The old man driving was so proud of himself and honked and smiled as we passed.
We finally made it home around 11:30 and visited with mom and dad until Ashley, Erica and Grant arrived home around 1:00AM. We didn't go to bed until around 2:00. The next morning was early because we were all so eager to catch up. Needless to say, plenty of coffee was consumed. We had a full day ahead of us before Erica's graduation. We participated in a mock Mary Kay party(Ashley is going to be a great saleswoman), went fishing, collected the chicken eggs and then decided to head down to the river to see if we could spear any fish. The river was out and when this happens there is usually fish swimming across the road. Not this time, we didn't see any, but still had fun. We then got ready and headed to Champaign for graduation. It was plenty long, but still a great time and Erica got to graduate in Assembly Hall, it was awesome! We then headed home for supper, wine and kabobs! It was a great weekend and we hated to have to get back in a car to head to Iowa.
